Finding A Used Tire For Your Ride

My Dad is always looking for a deal for his latest auto restoration project and some of the best used tire deals he finds is by doing a little used tire treasure hunting of your own.

Some of the best used tire bargains he's found is at custom wheel shops. A lot of these stores take used tires as a trade in for their customers that want to improve their tire and rim sets. The custom wheel trade-ins they recieve will usually be in good condition and you will be able to get a great set of wheel rims at a low tire price!

Anotherplace he has found the right used tire is to look to an auto salvage yard. Many times you can find the right used tire that is just right for your car or truck. Its always best to simply call the auto salvage yard first to see if they have the right used tire for your ride in stock. If they don't, ask the manager if they can phone other auto yards to order the right used tire for you.

Auto flea markets and swap meets are another great way my Dad finds the right used tire for his latest car or truck. Make sure you have cash on hand to make sure you can easily negotiate the price for your wheels from the seller. This will give you a better bargaining angle to get your new wheels at a used tire price.

He also phones custom body shops and auto repair shops and leaves his name and phone number in case they run across a used tire dea for his new restoration project . Automobiles get wrecked all the time, but thier wheels and tires may be still good condition. These shops may be able to hook you up with tires and wheels at a great used tire price.Always remember to have the shop guarantee the safety of your used tire purchase.

Finally, he always reads thru your local paper and auto resale ad classifieds. Great bargains can be discovered sometimes thru personal sales and yard sales to get the best used tires for your automobile.
